We need our community's help!
Navarro and surrounding communities have a need for a no kill animal shelter. We want to build and operate that shelter but we need your help - all members of our community; both businesses and individuals.
Our goal is to obtain 2 acres of land (DONE) and obtain a building to put on it - once this is a reality - we need your help to finish out the building with pens and runs and equipment to serve the needs of all the unwanted and homeless dogs and cats.
As we have a temporary shelter already in action, there is a need for dog food, cat food, litter, litter pans, beds, bowls, water buckets, toys, scratching posts - everything to make these animals comfortable in their transition to their forever homes.
We are 501c3 non-profit and all donations can be tax deductible. Fundraisers will be put together to help fund some of this project (keep an eye out for flyers when and where fundraisers are happening) but there is still a need for all the communities support and donations to take this from planning stages to a reality that houses these animals until new homes are found for each and every one.
While in the shelter all animals that need it will be spayed or neutered to cut down on unwanted litters of puppies and kittens. All animals will receive medical care and necessary shots. We are seeking volunteer help to take care of the animals - we are willing and able to be at the shelter to make sure it is open and operating at its fullest potential once it is open for business.
Until the day the doors are open and taking in animals we are working all day every day to get support to make this a reality.
Please, there are so many animals that need our help. They deserve a good environment while waiting for a forever home - without the fear of euthanasia. Please join us in this endeavor - it will benefit our community as a whole.
